Expert meeting Youth and Active Lifestyle Interventions

Aims of the expert meeting

- to share experience and knowledge of successful innovative European Youth interventions.

- to amplify and enlarge the European network KEY PLAYERS for Youth, sport and physical activity and to make decisions about the role and tasks of the network in future.

- to make plans concerning exchanges between youth within the theme of sport and active lifestyle through the program Youth in Action from the European Union

Results of the Expert meeting:

- Three interventions are presented and discussed about: whoZnext, Communities on the Move and Sport and Alcohol

- The main idea for a plan to start up whoZnext in 5 different countries (Norway, Austria, Romania, Poland and Italy) is developed

- A plan to organize a training for professionals (youth workers) in the field of whoZnext, Communities on the Move and Sport & Alcohol is agreed upon

- Professionalization of the structure for the network is discussed and agreed upon

- Find partnership in the project Sport & Stress initiated by the DFS (Dolnośląska Federacja Sportu)

Plans for the future:

- Apply for funds at the Dutch Agency of Youth in Action for a training for professionals

- Create a strong network (KEY PLAYERS) by putting in place a steering committee and defining members of the network

- Apply for funds at several Youth in Action-agencies in order to make a start with whoZnext on local level in five European countries

- Apply for a project Sport & Stress by DFS (Dolnośląska Federacja Sportu)
