NISB believes that the development of its activity strategies requires a focus on physical activity in everyday life. In the coming years, our institute will show that everyone from 0-100 can participate in life better and remain healthier by doing physical activities and sport.
Active citizenship around the world
Guiding people towards physical activities and sport or helping them organise these themselves should ensure that physical activity and sport become an integral part of people’s lives and behaviour in the long term. The NISB works with a network of partners to create a living environment for people that is amenable to physical activity and sport and to emphasise the local, community-oriented approach around the world.
International Learning Centre
In November 2008, CEO Clémence Ross introduced the idea of an International Learning Centre for knowledge exchange on physical activity, in other words, a European Centre of Excellence. This would provide opportunities to explore strategies and subjects such as monitoring and evaluating strategies and for comparing data from across the globe.
