International activities in 2012

  • TAFISA World Challenge Day on 30 May
TAFISA World Challenge Day is a friendly competition in Sport for All to promote physical activity around the world. It is a truly global event with millions of participants from around 50 countries all being active for at least 15 minutes on the last Wednesday in May every year. In 2012 it will be held on Wednesday 30th May. Communities all around the world compete against each other to motivate as many people as possible to be physical active on a single day.

Since 2011, World Challenge Day was incorporated into the TAFISA Triple AC Program, which was launched in November 2011 with the support of the IOC at the 22nd World Congress. Join in the fun and help to make this year even bigger and better than ever! Don’t miss the opportunity to promote your community internationally as the winner of the regional or even global World Challenge Day Cup!

Please see the downloads Flyer and Introduction Booklet for more information.

Of course, TAFISA welcomes as many communities to take part in World Challenge Day as possible, however having at least community from every TAFISA member country participate would be an excellent result!

Note: In the Netherlands, NISB is TAFISA member. Communities in the Netherlands are welcome to get in touch with NISB for registration. Please contact Peter Barendse,mailto:peter.barendse@nisb.nl , programma manager International.
